WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Here is what people who have interacted with us say:
Mathare North Youth Organization (MANYO) is a youth focused organization that endeavors to tap, nurture and utilize the talents of the youth into meaningful outcomes for the community. The organization works to ensure the uplifting of the socio-economic status of the communities it serves. I recommend them strongly for any community focused initiatives that are geared towards bringing about transformation.

What an incredible organization!! Manyo is one of those places that really changes the world for the better!!When I worked as a volunteer with them I was really shocked at first to find out that all these big player NGO‘s don’t really show up in Mathare slum because they consider it “unsafe“. It really made me angry and sad and I still wonder where all this charity money from the west really ends up?! However Manyo is different. Manyo is a local volunteer organization led by around 8 Kenyan individuals, who just dedicated their lives to make a difference. They were among the most inspiring and welcoming people I’ve ever met in my whole life. Not only did they provide me with everything I needed but they also made sure I felt safe at all times. The biggest stunner for me however was that although they have very little resources, although they almost struggle themselves to make a living, although volunteering is not very high regarded in Kenya, they still show up every day and push forward selflessly. And I believe that are exactly the types of individuals that push the human race forward. The silent heroes that no one mentions. I can only recommend this organization to the fullest. Be it as a volunteer or as a sponsor. It is a place where you can still not only have an impact but also see the positive effects directly unfolding infront of you. Just as their slogan accurately states: „one life at a time“Forever grateful for this volunteering experience. Thank you so much Manyo
